The museum notice states extended summer hours of 09:00–18:00 through August 31, with last entry verification at 17:30; booking and later changes remain subject to official notice.
The exact extended-hours window
The museum's June 26 notice states that extended summer opening runs July 1–August 31, 2026, from 09:00 to 18:00, with entry verification ending at 17:30. The arrangement applies only to the dates in that notice.
Reserve through the official channel and follow the latest booking screen and museum notice. An 18:00 closing time does not mean entry after 17:30, and old social-media screenshots are not reliable operational information.
If your train or flight arrives in the afternoon
An arrival at the hotel before 14:00 can still leave two to three hours for the museum, followed by Taoxichuan after dinner. After 16:00, luggage, transfers and security make the visit too compressed; use the next morning instead.
The collection spans many periods and deserves more than one viral object. A multilingual guide can focus on dynasties, vessel forms, blue-and-white, export porcelain or cross-cultural exchange.
Booking and transport
International visitors should carry the original passport used for booking, with matching name and document number. If the mini-program does not handle a document type, ask a hotel or licensed travel provider to verify the official procedure.
The museum, Imperial Kiln/Taoyangli and Taoxichuan are separate visitor nodes. Families, seniors and afternoon arrivals can combine station pickup, luggage handling and museum transfer in one private-car plan.
