The September customs reception day is appointment-based for formal enquiries. It is not a walk-in tourist shipping counter; cross-border ceramic shipments still require carrier and official customs verification.

What the notice says

On September 1, Jingdezhen Customs announced its monthly chief reception arrangement, requiring an appointment by September 17 through the listed channel and valid identity and supporting documents for a visit.

This is a government enquiry process, not a walk-in tourist counter for courier shipping, tax refunds or cultural-object authentication.

What a ceramic buyer really checks

Before overseas shipping, ask the carrier about description, value, dimensions, insurance, taxes and destination restrictions. Valuable, old, unclear-provenance or suspected cultural objects require advice from the competent authority.

Keep invoices, item lists, photographs, packing evidence and waybills. Reject advice to hide the description or understate value.

Appointment and privacy

A business with a genuine customs matter should read the original notice, book as required and prepare evidence, never purchase a 'reception slot' from an unofficial intermediary.

A guide or interpreter may help with language but must not replace factual statements, sign declarations or request verification codes. Formal customs guidance controls.
