Official guidance sets toll-free expressway travel for qualifying passenger vehicles from 00:00 October 1 to 24:00 October 7, judged by exit time. Jingdezhen return drivers should never speed or drive fatigued to chase the cutoff.
How the toll-free boundary is judged
The 2026 National Day arrangement covers passenger vehicles with seven seats or fewer from 00:00 October 1 to 24:00 October 7. Expressway eligibility is judged by the time the vehicle exits the toll station, not entry time.
Check vehicle class, ETC and any dispute with transport and toll operators. 'Holiday free' does not cover every vehicle, road or parking charge.
Leave buffer from Jingdezhen
October 5 remains within the window, but peak return periods may congest. Check the vehicle, fuel or charge, documents and live traffic. Add rest, charging, rain and incident buffers rather than calculating the latest departure from ideal conditions.
For a Wuyuan, Nanchang or other stop, separate attraction closing time, dinner and return traffic. A private-car order should state route, waiting, overtime, tolls and driver rest.
Safety comes before the waiver
If still short of an exit near October 7 midnight, do not speed, use the emergency lane or continue while fatigued. A toll costs less than a crash. Follow police and operator guidance for service-area stops or diversions.
Passengers should wear seat belts and never pressure the driver to race the clock. Recheck live transport and operator information; an earlier article explains the rule but cannot replace current road conditions.
