A September 29 Ministry of Culture and Tourism and CMA alert forecasts a 4–6°C cool-down across central and eastern China on October 3–4, with frequent holiday rain in the south. Jingdezhen and nearby mountain routes need same-day cancellation and return thresholds.
A regional alert is not an hourly attraction forecast
The ministry and CMA warn of frequent southern rain from October 1–4 and a 4–6°C cool-down across much of central and eastern China on October 3–4. Jingdezhen, Fuliang, Wuyuan and Huangshan differ in elevation, terrain and weather, so the regional alert does not replace destination nowcasts or attraction notices.
Before departure, check forecasts, radar, warnings and road information for downtown Jingdezhen, the actual Yaoli or Gaoling destination, Wuyuan and Huangshan. A dry interval downtown does not prove a mountain route is safe.
Write an exit condition for rural travel
Cancel waterside, elevated, gorge and undeveloped-area activity after intense rain, lightning, poor visibility, waterlogging, a geological-risk warning or an attraction closure. Drivers should avoid unverified rural shortcuts and roadside photo stops. Carry dry clothing, water, power and offline addresses.
Travel to Yaoli or Gaoling only after confirming roads, opening and return. Wuyuan and Huangshan are intercity or interprovincial trips requiring margin for expressway congestion, transfers and different local controls. Do not connect them without buffer to the last train or flight.
Protect vulnerable travelers and ceramics after the cool-down
Seniors, children and travelers with limited mobility should reduce wet stone, long stairs and mountain travel after dark, using non-slip shoes and layered clothing. Stop and seek help after hypothermia, chest pain, breathing difficulty or a fall rather than continuing because a booking is prepaid.
Add moisture protection to ceramic cartons and avoid a leaking luggage compartment; let a studio store damp work correctly. Weather, traffic and on-site attraction directions override the itinerary. A guide or driver may help adjust but cannot bypass a closure.
