The October 7 transport review confirms about 8,000 metres of guardrail, 4,249.81 square metres of non-motor parking markings and revised museum taxi pickup areas. Holiday routes, the RMB 10 pass and extra frequency need separate rechecking.
Infrastructure that can be confirmed
The city says about 8,000 metres of guardrail were repaired, 4,249.81 square metres of non-motor parking lines added, and taxi pickup around major museums revised. Visitors should use marked parking and boarding areas.
Infrastructure does not permit stopping anywhere. Live signs, police and venue flow control take priority, and ride-hailing pins may move.
Services to recheck after the holiday
The report also mentions holiday tourism routes, a hotel-line trial, a RMB 10 bus pass and intervals of about five minutes. These were connected to holiday crowd management and should not be assumed from October 8.
Before boarding, verify route, fare, sale point, frequency and last bus with the operator. Without an extension notice, plan around regular buses, taxis or a reserved vehicle.
Practical effect for international visitors
Save the destination and hotel in Chinese and follow museum exit signs to the pickup area rather than hailing in traffic. Tell the vehicle in advance about passports, children, wheelchairs or bulky ceramics.
A driver, guide or hotel may help confirm, but cannot promise that a holiday convenience is permanent.
