A September 17 transport update calls for closer inspection of waterside, cliff, high-slope, retaining-wall, landslide-prone and flood-damaged rural roads. Visitors should follow closures and field management.
This is not a closure announcement
The official item describes citywide training and inspection requirements; it does not report a specific tourist road closed. It cannot be used to infer that Yaoli, Gaoling or another rural attraction is shut.
It does identify waterside, cliff, high-slope, retaining-wall, landslide and flood-damage sections as risk types. Check current transport, weather and venue notices before departure.
Stop after these signs
After a closure sign, staff instruction, falling rock, standing water, new slope crack or rapidly falling visibility, stop at a safe place and turn back or wait. Never bypass a barrier or pressure a driver to continue.
Do not stop for photographs on cliff bends, bridge approaches or drainage edges. Use seat belts and suitable child restraints.
Prepare a private car or self-drive
For a car booking, confirm legal operator and driver, insurance, route, alternatives, waiting and cancellation. Self-drivers should download offline maps and keep enough fuel or charge. Rural connectivity is not reliable enough for one-app emergency planning.
This update does not replace live road conditions. Police, transport, attraction and field instructions take priority that day.
