A Jingdezhen Public Security update on October 15 says a road-safety campaign has continued for 65 days, covering visitor-area order, major violations and road hazards. Travelers should use compliant vehicles, board only at legal points and wear helmets on e-bikes; the enforcement report is not a fixed road-closure notice.
What enforcement targets
The update lists overloaded vans, illegal passenger carriage by three-wheelers, speeding, drink driving, illegal modifications, and motorcycles or e-bikes travelling against traffic, running lights or lacking helmets, with checks at key and night periods.
The campaign also inspects road hazards and visitor-area order and has conducted education around Taoxichuan. Enforcement affects unsafe travel, but it does not mean every road mentioned is continuously closed.
Verifying private-car and ride-hailing service
Confirm operator, driver, plate, vehicle, seats, insurance, price, waiting and cancellation before booking. Never use an overloaded vehicle or one without seat belts, and match the platform or order details rather than accepting an off-platform solicitation during event demand.
Refuse pickup in a no-stopping zone, fire route or moving traffic and use a legal safe point. Delay never justifies speeding, wrong-way driving or illegal parking.
E-bike and pedestrian advice
Use a compliant helmet, obey lights and direction, never overload or ride after drinking. When unfamiliar with local roads, visibility is poor or rain arrives, prefer walking, public transport, a taxi or compliant private car.
Use pedestrian crossings and do not photograph or hail a vehicle from the roadway. Follow on-site traffic police, temporary controls and detours and allow return margin.
