Regulators warn of unlicensed tours promoted as policyholder rewards, subsidies or free travel. Verify through the insurer, then confirm agency, written contract, itinerary and guide.

Call back through the official channel

The July warning says some individuals recruit travellers with alleged policyholder subsidies or free tours while lacking agency qualifications. Do not open a stranger's link; use the insurer's official hotline or app.

When overseas family book for relatives, the actual traveller should see price, itinerary, shopping, optional charges, accommodation and cancellation; a verbal 'all inclusive' claim is not enough.

Match agency, contract and guide

Choose a licensed agency, sign a package-tour contract, attach a measurable itinerary and verify organizer, local operator, guide and ID. Pause when payee, stamped entity and provider differ.

State time at attractions and shops, compulsory shopping, extra interpretation or vehicle fees, and written itinerary-change rules.

Insurance does not replace a tour contract

Accident, medical and card insurance have their own coverage, deductibles and evidence. Save policy, emergency number, contract, payment and family contact separately.

For forced shopping, substitutions, unauthorized transfers or safety problems, protect people and evidence first, then use the contract and official channels such as 12345.
