Jingdezhen has long attracted overseas ceramic artists and now offers many short courses and study programs. A first visit should choose a model by creative goal, time and responsibility before renting a courtyard or buying equipment.
三种模式解决不同问题
半日或一日体验课适合了解泥料、拉坯或绘制；数日到两周的研学适合系统看遗址、工序和工作室；驻留创作则涉及更长时间、固定空间、材料、窑炉、作品储存和社区生活。不要用最短课程期待完成复杂系列，也不要在第一次到访前就承担长期空间。
先写下要完成的是一件体验作品、一个研究问题还是一批可展出作品。目标不同，导师、设备、翻译、预算和交付方式都会不同。
用试访核验工作条件
先参观工作室并确认泥料、工具、通风、粉尘控制、窑炉排期、消防、储物、开放时间和语言支持。共享空间适合试做，独立空间更依赖租赁、设备与日常管理。
拍摄他人作品、复制器型、进入窑房或使用设备前取得许可。新闻中的“洋景漂”生活是个体经验，不是任何访客都能自动获得的课程、住房或签证安排。
把生活与创作分开核对
住宿先确认可依法接待持护照住客并完成登记；创作空间另行确认费用、押金、损耗、知识产权、访客规则和退出条件。任何签证、停留、学习或工作许可问题都应向有权机构核实。
先安排7至14天试访，再决定是否延长，通常比一次承诺数月更稳妥。多语导游可协助看场地和沟通工艺，但不能替代法律、合同、安全或专业窑务判断。
Three models answer different needs
A half- or one-day class introduces clay, throwing or painting. Several days to two weeks can connect sites, processes and studios. A creative residency involves longer access, fixed space, materials, kilns, storage and community life. Do not expect a complex series from the shortest class or commit to a long-term space before a first visit.
Write down whether the goal is one experiential object, a research question or a body of exhibition work. Instructor, equipment, interpretation, budget and delivery all change with that answer.
Test the working conditions
Visit the studio and confirm clay, tools, ventilation, dust control, kiln queue, fire safety, storage, hours and language support. Shared space suits a trial; independent space demands more attention to rental, equipment and daily management.
Ask before photographing others' work, copying forms, entering kiln rooms or using equipment. The featured international-artist lives are individual experiences, not automatic promises of a course, housing or immigration status.
Verify living and making separately
First confirm that accommodation can lawfully receive passport holders and complete registration. Separately confirm workspace fees, deposit, loss, intellectual property, guest rules and exit conditions. Refer immigration, stay, study or work authorization to the competent authority.
A seven- to fourteen-day trial before extending is usually more controlled than committing for months. A multilingual guide may inspect space and interpret craft, but cannot replace legal, contract, safety or kiln advice.
