A National Immigration Administration update dated August 20, 2026 covers nationals of 57 countries, 65 ports and 24 provincial-level areas for stays of up to 240 hours. Jingdezhen may form part of an eligible Jiangxi stay, but travelers must verify the entry port, onward itinerary and personal eligibility first.
Confirm that the journey is transit, not a return trip
The 240-hour scheme requires a valid international travel document, travel from one country or region through China to a third country or region, and a confirmed onward ticket or supporting document with a fixed date and seat. A simple origin–China–same origin journey is not automatically eligible because it is short. Ask border inspection to assess Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan routing against the complete ticket record.
The policy applies to nationals of 57 eligible countries, not every passport. Before ticketing, check nationality, port and permitted stay area in the current NIA list rather than relying on a short video, an old map or a verbal sales promise.
Jingdezhen Airport is not a listed entry port
The current list includes Nanchang Changbei International Airport in Jiangxi, while Huangshan Tunxi International Airport in neighboring Anhui is also eligible. Jingdezhen may be included in travel inside an approved stay area, but Jingdezhen Luojia Airport is not listed as a port that processes this temporary-entry procedure. A domestic arrival airport is not the international processing port.
One possible pattern is to complete inspection at an eligible port, continue to Jingdezhen by rail, road or licensed private car, and later leave through an eligible port within 240 hours and the approved area. This is not a guarantee of admission: through-ticket logic, port operations, accommodation registration and border inspection must all be verified.
Build documents and time limits into the plan
Carry the passport, confirmed onward ticket to the third country or region, accommodation address, transfer evidence and a simple itinerary in Chinese. Complete accommodation registration and stay inside the authorized area. After a cancellation or document change, contact the carrier, border inspection or 12367 rather than extending the stay yourself.
For two to four nights in Jingdezhen, do not consume the entire 240-hour window. Keep margin for entry processing, transfers from Nanchang or Huangshan, holiday traffic and weather. Only immigration authorities decide entry; a hotel, driver or guide cannot promise approval.
