For private collectors and overseas buyers: document makers and works, confirm commission terms, separate storytelling from authentication, and arrange international shipping.

Record the object, not only the story

The city describes a public platform for standards, certification and traceability, including digital identity for selected ceramics. Still obtain maker or brand, material, process, dimensions, quantity, price and defect disclosure. An oral story is not professional authentication.

Use a formal order and receipt for valuable or bulk purchases and verify the payee.

Define a commission

Write down sample, color range, dimensional tolerance, quantity, delivery, firing loss, intellectual property, packing and acceptance. Handmade and fired work naturally varies; a promotional image is not automatic proof of identical delivery.

Approve a sample before production and confirm refund and dispute terms before cross-border payment.

Export or carry

Ask the carrier about description, value, insurance, duties and destination restrictions. Old, unclear-provenance or suspected cultural objects cannot be treated as normal souvenirs. Keep object, packing, receipt and tracking images.

A car and interpreter may assist sourcing, but customs, authentication and insurance decisions belong to the relevant authorities.
