New tourism bus links between the North Station, ceramic core, evening districts and Sanbao change the location trade-off. This guide compares walking, nights, luggage and rural departures without endorsing a particular hotel.

Taoyangli and Taoxichuan serve different evenings

Taoyangli or the old city makes it easier to combine the Imperial Kiln, Fuzhou Lane and historic Zhushan on foot, suiting a first, history-led visit. Taoxichuan is more convenient for contemporary ceramics, markets and later exhibitions. Both may face holiday crowds, traffic direction and evening noise.

Do not use map distance alone. Confirm lawful pickup, room orientation, reception hours, breakfast, cancellation and acceptance of passport-holding guests.

North Station and Sanbao solve different problems

The North Station area suits late arrivals, early departures, heavy luggage or a one-night stop, though the ceramic districts still require a bus or car. Sanbao suits quiet stays, studio visits and slower creative work but depends more on ride availability, roads and confirmed transfers.

New official services improve links, but serving a district does not put a stop at the hotel door or guarantee a late-night return. Include last service, app-car wait and walking distance in the decision.

Let the itinerary choose the base

Choose Taoyangli for early old-city and museum days, Taoxichuan for markets and contemporary studios, and perhaps North Station only for the final pre-train night. For residencies or repeated Sanbao studios, avoid hotel moves and stay in Sanbao. Confirm lawful pickup and luggage arrangements separately for Yaoli, Fuliang, Wuyuan or Huangshan.
