Jingdezhen plans standardized foreign-language signs and multilingual service training while tourism authorities tighten guide-ID management. Travelers booking Chinese, English, French, Spanish, Russian, Japanese or Korean service should verify language, ceramic knowledge, credentials and sales terms separately.

A language label is not the whole service

The city's foreign-affairs plan calls for standardized foreign-language signs and multilingual service training, showing an effort to improve inbound reception. Yet an English or other-language guide label does not automatically prove knowledge of imperial production, glaze, firing, dating or studio etiquette.

Use a short voice or video conversation to verify practical language, then share group age, background, goals and necessary ceramic terms. Academic, business and sourcing groups should separately ask about interpreting, meetings and contract communication.

Verify credential, business and order separately

Tourism authorities have published guide-ID registration and review rules. Confirm the agency or service business, valid guide identification, date and assignment. Check vehicle operating status, insurance and seats separately; a guide ID is not a vehicle license.

Write language, hours, meeting point, included visits, overtime, meals, cancellation and invoice into the order. Pause payment when payee and contracted business differ, a large transfer goes to a personal account or written terms are refused.

Write no-shopping and cultural boundaries clearly

Specify no forced shopping. Every studio, shop or master space must be the traveler's voluntary choice, and a purchase cannot be a condition of continuing. Ask before photographing craftspeople, process details or works, and reserve private studios.

Chinese, English, French, Spanish, Russian, Japanese and Korean service can be requested by date, while scarce languages and ceramic expertise need more lead time. A guide may assist ordinary communication but cannot replace immigration, medical, customs, authentication or legal authorities.
